In 1991 Jenny and Marshall Lamb opened the doors to Cameron Clothing Co., a beautifully appointed ladies specialty store with an extensive sportswear collection, accessories and gifts. Having each worked in women’s specialty merchandising for some 35 years, the Lambs decided the time was right to combine their strengths and build a business together. By 1995, Cameron had expanded to include daytime dresses, special occasion and mother of the bride. With 7,000 square feet of space in the upscale North Hills Shopping Center, the store is a well-established shopping destination for Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill loyalists, as well as customers in far-reaching areas of central and eastern North Carolina. Cameron’s impressive stock levels typically include 3,000 sweaters alone, offering something for every woman who enjoys dressing well. With customers ranging from college age to seniors in the better market, sales associates double as style consultants who can show customers how to build and update their wardrobes. They even write thank-you notes for purchases.
